Although the last set for pianist Mark Walsh and guitarist Tony Nance officially ended at 11:45 p.m., the passionate rock duo performed an encore for the diehards upstairs at the Church Street Kitchen, 12 Church St.
Church Street Kitchen owner Greg Spinelli went from table to table lighting candles as a few couples dined, drank tea and embraced the intimacy as the evening wound down.
Walsh’s vocals caressed the small crowd as he sang songs by Bob Dylan, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, and Bruce Springsteen.
Nance complemented Walsh playing tasty blues riffs and filling out the sound with a low-end bass on his guitar.
Joel Chassan sat in with the duo playing a Roland Handsonic electronic percussive device, adding some soft percussion sound to the cozy music.

Bio
I learned how to play from my mother and my brother, Joe, who's now the lead guitarist for the Eagles. I discovered this band years ago, and we're all kindred spirits - influenced most heavily by the modern classical period of music, IE the Beatles, Dylan, the Dead, Pink Floyd, the Allman Brothers, and Hendrix. We've managed to recreate that sound in the midst of today's emo DJ pretty-boy scene, and we politely believe we wipe the floor with them in every respect.
