"Zenmaster" Marky Ray (Ex-Jim Rose Circus, The Lyres, Death Of Samantha, Death On A Stick, the terrible parade, New Salem Witch Hunters and others). As a Musician, Artist and as "the Original Rock and Roll Mercenary", Marky Ray has spent the better part of 30 years in the music industry. He has traveled the World and worked, toured and played with groups such as nine inch nails (all headlining tours 90'-91' including Lollapalooza debut, European debut, w/Gun's and Roses Germany and Wembley), Ministry (Lolla 92', Europe Debut), The Butthole Surfers (US/Canada w/ Stone temple Pilots, Europe, Reading, Pukkelpop, Japan w/the Boredoms, Last US Nirvana tour), toadies, Die Warzua and he was also the (only) Guitarist/Tour Manager/ Human Chopping Block and a member of the Chainsaw Stunt team in the Jim Rose Circus Sideshow (US/Canada, Australia, Edinburgh Fringe 1994.Monsters of Danger Women of Wonder tour 1994-95, Nine Inch Nails- Downward Spiral tour)
Marky Ray is looking to do select international music conferences, festivals and performances around the world. He is looking to work with other like minded music groups and artists who would like to tour and play together. Music Festivals, Art circles, performance galleries are strongly encouraged to seek him out. Marky Ray is also an Manager, Promoter, Producer and consultant to the stars.
In 2005 he created and now teaches a course called Concert Technical Production, where he teaches "Kids" the ropes and the inner workings of the music industry including history, production genres, instrumentation etc. From being a musician in a band to being a tour or production manager, stagehand technique, from clubs to stadium level touring is covered. No musical stone is left unturned!
Marky Ray is also a graphic artist who takes pride in overseeing all of his own promotional work. He makes his own flyers, Boutique quality, limited addition T-shirts, stickers and silk-screened limited addition posters.
