Georgia performing songwriter. Opened for Jesse Winchester (Jesse said after my performance, "I believe Marlin is the genuine article"), John McCutcheon. Shared the stage with Jim Lauderdale, Rick Richards of the Ga Satellites, Joey Huffman, Tony Balfa of the Balfa Brothers and many more.Played the festival at Union Grove NC on Memorial Day weekend for 20 years, The Gram Parsons Guitar Pull in Waycross GA for 10 years, where 2 years ago honored with the Brass Button award, (a festival award for keeping the legacy of Gram Parsons alive).His song Bosom Of Abraham was chosen #1 by a panel of industry professionals at the '03 Americana Music Assc. Conference. He has played The Bluebird and The Sutler in Nashville, in the Atl area The Red Light Cafe, Smith's Ole Bar, Darwin's,The Crimson Moon and many many more. Lyrically and melodically intelligent. Takes ownership of the stage with his presence. Vocally real and true.
