Bio

Her passion for music began in Indiana with piano lessons at age 5. During her stint with the Indiana University Children's Choir, her eclectic taste began taking shape singing classical, folk and contemporary music. A highlight was a performance, at age 12, with the IU Opera Theater. A profound influence throughout her childhood and teen years were her step dad's jazz albums, which provided backup as she developed her own sassy style.

Marnie continued performing throughout college, where she studied athletic training. She's quite possibly the only person who can, at the same time, tape an ankle and sing the national anthem, all in under 2 minutes 20 seconds! Joe Williams once said, "It's not that you want to sing, it's that you have to sing." After balancing two careers, she soon gave up her "day job." Marnie has to sing!

Her natural stage presence landed her appearances in regional musical theater, talent showcases, show choirs, and jazz bands. She's worked with the Voices of Baha' Choir at Carnegie Hall and as a featured soloist with the Savannah Symphony Orchestra. She currently studies with voice coach Lynn Skinner.

Marnie lives in Denver, CO, with her husband and two Siberian Huskies. When she's not singing, she's snowboarding or mountain biking.
