This luscious Washington D.C Native has an original rich powerful sound that will make you reminise on the sounds you heard back in the day as well as, keep you in touch with that live modern sound we hear today. She is a Neo-Soul, R&B, Jazzy Blues singer/song writer. She can heal the souls of anyone interested in real, good and sophisticated, smooth music with a urban groove!!! She began professionally singing at the age of 12 and was cast in the Broadway Musical "JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT" at the National Theater in Washington D.C. and shortly after, auditioned and became a member of "B.E.T.'s Urban Nation H.I.P. H.O.P. Choir. After this amazing oportunity, singing quickly became a passion for her, and their was no stopping her drive. She decided she would sing for a career and knew she would need great Vocal training. She received this training at the prestigious High School, "Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. She was a participant in the "All School Choir" and member of the world renowed " Duke Eliington Show Choir". This opened many doors and presented her with many performance experience. You can now say "She's Unstoppable"! Marquita is now a Graduate of the #1 Contemporary School In The World, "Berklee College of Music". She has even graced the infamous stage of "Showtime at The Apollo". It has really shaped her into a "Dynamic Diva". She feels, she is finally ready to step out and take control.
