Early Life

UK based female rapper Marro was born Mary Mwashita and is of African descents and is the second born in a family of four children. She has two brothers and one sister. This did not complete her family as her mother adopted three of her cousins and raised them from a tender age expanding the family which now totals at seven children. She had a strict up bringing; her late mother who died in a car crush in 2006 at the age of 45 was an officer in the police force and her father a Major in the army. Marro grew up an independent little girl who had to make decisions on her own and had to learn to fight for what she wants at a tender age as she was sent to boarding school at the age of 8, she had no older brother or sister to stand up for her at school against bullying as they were all placed in different boarding schools and yes she managed to stand up for herself and she quickly accepted and adopted the idea of being a boarding scholar. Marro could not find comfort in playing with dolls like all the other girls did, instead she found comfort in music mostly rap music, lessening to the likes of MC Lite, Queen Latifah, Salt n Pepa, Da brat, 2pac, Snoop Dogg just to name a few. She started of collecting lyrics of her favorite artist and performing their songs at school functions until her mother persuaded her to try and write her own music, at the age of 14 Marro jotted down her first song and started performing at open Mics at the age of 15, from then on she never looked back.

Musical Career

In March 2007 Marro’s talent was spotted by record label owner Sam / Mr Miezi(owner/co founder of Best Records) at a function where she was performing live, she joined his stable straight away and started working on her first solo project Producer V_Dregaz who recorded and produced her first single, which were released on 18th March 2009 Digitally. All her singles are available for download on all major music download sites online.
Marro has worked with various producers including Producer Wilfred whom she has worked with on her upcoming album due to be released end of August 2009.
She has also in the past worked with one of Britain’s A-list producers T2 though the project was never released up to date.

Private Life

Charity work

As Marro is at the peak of her career, with the little she has earned she has contributed to charity throughout her career and will continue to do so especially to orphanages and children charities. “I believe no child should have to suffer, kids are the new parents, doctors, inventors, policeman and everything of tomorrow, they are the next society therefore they should be raised in the bestest of ways preparing them to be their correct good, polite, caring and considerate heartful people they supposed to be, now they can not be this if you do not raise them this way, they be what you raise them to be, in my heart anybody who hurts a child should go to hell and survive, so they can feel all the pain. Kids are innocent and the most harmless beings on earth and I just love them to bits, I hope to have 5 of my own.’’ She plans on doing some charity work to help raise money to build more children homes, to make sure every child goes to school and to bed on a full stomach.
