Bio
In 1999 I started working as a freelance outreach professor through a partnership agreement with the Humanities Extension / Publications Department of North Carolina State University. During this time I researched the needs of K-5 schools in North Carolina.
This research produced “Earth Wise” a 30-45 minute interactive musical presentation that stimulates the child's cognitive development by integrating music, poetry and story telling.
The educational aspect of the program is concerned with how to live in harmony with the earth and ourselves while including curriculum areas such as English, Math, Science, Character Ed and Nutrition. The goal is to create an entertaining environment in which children laugh and learn.
The Entertaining aspect of the program is concerned with creating an atmosphere of playfullness that encourages audience participation. The young and young at heart will enjoy listening and participating together.
