Biography

The Marsh Brothers Band is a family affair with a long history -- Brothers Greg and Doug Marsh, their cousin Steve Gillies and brother-from-another-mother Hal Squires began performing together in 1993, and have been honing their irresistible sound ever since. That sound was enhanced considerably when keyboard player Marty Pell joined the band in 2006, and boosted again with the addition of percussionist George Ronetz in 2008.

Primary songwriter Greg Marsh lists among his influences serious songwriters like Neil Young, John Prine, Bob Weir, John Hiatt, Bob Marley and Lowell George, but also comic geniuses like Tom Lehrer and Stan Freberg. The Marsh Brothers Band's music will make you think, laugh, cry -- and dance until your feet hurt!

The Ways Of Love

Written By: Gregory S. Marsh

Saw you from across the hall;
You barely noticed me at all.
You weren't the one I'd hoped to find;
I wasn't what you had in mind.
We didn't know each other yet;
Then one day, by chance, we met.
Got to talkin' now and then,
And soon became the best of friends.
Who knows The Ways Of Love?
You never know The Ways Of Love.

Got together more and more;
I held you close outside your door.
We kissed beneath the streetlamp's light --
I never will forget that night.
To taste the sweetness of your lips
Thrilled me to my fingertips!
On that night we finally kissed,
I found out just how much I'd missed.
Who knows The Ways Of Love?
You never know The Ways Of Love.

You tore my fences all apart;
Worked your way into my heart;
Reached inside my very soul
'Til I surrendered all control.
And when we got beneath the covers,
You showed me what it means to be lovers.
I know I'll never love another;
I love the way we love each other.
Who knows The Ways Of Love?
My baby knows The Ways Of Love!
The Ways Of Love!
The Ways Of Love!

Misplaced My Mojo

Written By: Gregory S. Marsh

Once I was a player, an expert at the game;
I walked in the room, women told me their names,
Gave me their phone numbers, asked me out on dates.
I had that mojo workin'; everything was great!
Then one day I lost it; I still don't know how,
But I can't get the chicks to look at me now.

Misplaced My Mojo; now I'm in a mess.
Where my mojo got to is anybody's guess.
Please help me find it; I got to get it back.
Man ain't got his mojo, he ain't got jack.

I'm hangin' at the bar; I'm knockin' back a brew,
Checkin' out the honeys checkin' me out, too.
I saw a lovely lady; walked right up and said,
"Let's you and me get busy!"
She said, "Drop dead!"
I said, "I got what you need, baby, don't you know?"
She said, "Your mojo ain't workin'; you might as well go."

Misplaced My Mojo; now I'm in a mess.
Where my mojo got to is anybody's guess.
Please help me find it; I got to get it back.
Man ain't got his mojo, he ain't got jack.

Since I lost my mojo, my life's a bad dream.
If I don't get my mojo back, I'm gonna scream!

Listen to me fellas; I was once a king!
Women lining up to give me everything,
But I took it all for granted, and then my bubble burst.
Now, I tell you boys, I'm truly cursed.
So don't you get too cocky, or you too may fall,
And a man who's lost his mojo is no man at all.

Misplaced My Mojo; now I'm in a mess.
Where my mojo got to is anybody's guess.
Please help me find it; I got to get it back.
Man ain't got his mojo, he ain't got jack.
Please help me find it; I got to get it back.
Man ain't got his mojo, he ain't got jack.
