Bio
Martin Bisi performs with his band under his own name. He is known mostly for his prolific work on some of the crucial music in New York since the 80. Almost every genre bears his imprint from early hip-hop to indie rock and metal -classic sounds from Sonic Youth, Herbie Hancock's Rockit, Africa Bambaata, Swans, Helmet, White Zombie, Cop Shoot Cop, Foetus, Dresden Dolls, recently, Serena Maneesh and others. This fall will see the
release of his new CD, Sirens Of The Apocalypse, on Black Freighter Records.
The songs are fun-loving vignettes of hectic living and loving in New York. They cover a broad range of indie music, from spacious dramatic fare, psychedelic rock-n-roll, and occasional turntablism, to a Weill drenched, humorous piano based number. The release will be accompanied by a video and tour spring of 07
