Bio

Martine has through her mysterious vocal and unique style on the norwegain national instrument, the hardangerfiddle, created her own genre sometimes referred to as “Nordic World”. Since the success with her debut album “Hidden Shore” in 2009 Martine has been working hard as an artist. Along with her producer she released “Distant Call” by Mani Luny in 2010 ,a consept-album based on some of the celtic approach in her material. She has done important appearances in studios where high quality fiddling are required, f.ex for the band “Stage Dolls”, but also for norwegian television. In june 2011 she was invited by Billy Falcon and his Sowing Circle when they opened for Bon Jovi at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo in front of 38.000 spectators. The same month she had been chosen as the main composer for the “Great Dragons Festival” in Krakow, a spectacular outdoor show on the river Vistula where dragons and fireworks melt together in front of 60.000 people. At home Martine opened the well known festival “Trollrock” at Beitostølen.

Martine has become an experienced artist and in the spring of 2011 she released her latest album, “Spirits From Norway”, an album containing 10 both beautiful and challenging tracks, included the hit song “Mighty Moon”. A journalist from the main paper in Trondheim wrote, -Not since Griegs “In the hall of the mountain king” has something that troll-like been presented by an norwegian artist-. The album has also been presented in cultural settings in the biggest tv and radiostations in Norway.

Martine ended her musical year of 2011 with a two week tour on the west coast of Norway
just before participating in the charity show “A December Night” put together by Norways biggest comedian Atle Antonsen.

In 2012 she is touring with scandinavian songstar Elisabeth Andreassen, playing an entire month at Hunderfossen Family Park (the biggest troll park in Norway), playing festivals and working on her fourth album from where the single CRYSTALS ARE FALLING already is released.
