Local musician Martin Snoddy is both a student of the piano and a writer of rhymes. The latter he performs with stunningly rhythmic fluidity. And exuberance. And infectious beats.
Snoddy also blogs (also fluidly, exuberantly and infectiously). His entries are probably not intended for the sensitive or easily offended, but Snoddy is energetically forthcoming about his experiences, his ups and downs, his projects, interests and inspirations. "So yo, I got madd shit droppin in 2013," he wrote last week. "I got a project with THUH YOUNG POLLOCK Mikey Kotz and then a SOLO joint droppin. Which I’m thinkin rhythmically, harmonically, melodically, and verbally will all be BONKERS!!"

Martin Snoddy & Mikey Kotz met back in High School. Mikey Kotz recalls the first time meeting Martin. "I know Martin is going to laugh at this story. We met through a child hood friend. I was a freshmen in high school and martin was in the 8th grade. Martin always laughs at this story because he saw me a white boy gangster whearing nothing but big basketball jerseys. Our body covinced martin to rap for me. Ever since hearing him rap, i knew we had to make music together." For years the dual talked about making and actually did a couple of recordings here and there. Once a little bit older and knew what there passions, they both started to make music. The first Album they put was called: "Solid! The MixTape". The Album is on cdbaby, itunes, bandcamp, and on Mikey Kotz Web page (www.mikeykotz.net). The two are still recording and now are working on their second album.
