"Jim Dyer"

"After Market Fest last week I caught a very genuinely lovely voice as singer/songwriter Mary Ann Coty performed with out-of -this-world fiddler Scott Joss at the Vintner's Cellar...I love how genuine Coty is as a performer. Plus she has nice originals, an easy finger picking style and some choice Dylan covers." - Jim Dyer for the Redding Record Searchlight - Redding Record Searchlight

"Letter of Appreciation"

"I would like to express my appreciation for making the Mary Ann Coty Band available for our 4th of July Celebration here at Rhein Main AB. Mary Ann was a pleasure to work with, and her band provided a quality show for our patrons. I look forward to having her back here at Rhein AB if the opportunity presents itself again." - Philip C. Jackson/Air Force

"Letter of Appreciation"

"Dear Ms. Coty,
Please accept my sincere appreciation on behalf of all the men and women of Team Rhein-Main for the outstanding, energetic show you and your band put on for us. You certainly made our Hometown Fourth of July Celebration a huge success, and brought each of us a touch of America here in Germany through your wonderful musical talent. We hope you enjoyed your time with us as much as we enjoyed yours with us. We hope that you will visit us again in the future.
Sincerely, Stephen P. Nelson" - Stephen P. Nelson/Air Force

"Letter of Appreciation"

"1. The community at Kleine Brogal would like to extend a Hearty "Thank you" for the outstanding performance. Never has a band came and showed so much energy, involving and entertaining the audience and their children as the Mary Ann Coty Band. The community is very grateful to have the privilege of a band that would be willing to volunteer time away from their families to come halfway across the world to perform for military audiences.
2. That being said, "Mary Ann Coty has the highest recommendation for any future performances for the Department of Defense Entertainment Program, from this community." We hope to see them again in the future, performing in Belgium for the Kleine Brogel community." - Jonathan B. Law/Air Force

"Music Spotlight"

"WELCOME BACK - Local rhythm and blues singer Mary Ann Coty recently returned from her U.S.O. tour of Honduras, Panama, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Antigua and Cuba....."It was great," she says. While in Panama, the group played for a multi-task force group that guarded the Cuban refugee camps. "They put up sheets so the refugees couldn't see us, but they could hear us," Coty says. "They did not want to excite the refugees. Rock 'n' Roll does that, you know.'" - Santa Cruz Sentinel

"Balkan Blues"

Quotes from feature article about Mary Ann Coty and her work volunteering for active duty entertaining US troops overseas:

"Real dangers abound for Coty and her band as they travel from base to base. They've trucked through tear gas clouds in Korea and ducked hand-grenade lobs in Turkey. The courageous Coty calls the battlefront jaunts "foxhole tours.'"

"'We do what we can to make everyone feel better about being there. We give them a safe place to let off steam, and give them a little bit of home.'" - Santa Cruz Sentinel

Mary Ann Coty is both an accomplished singer and songwriter. Her originals are a mixture of Folk, Rock’n’Roll, Blues and R&B presented with a style often compared to Janis Joplin or Bonnie Raitt and delivered with the soul of Gospel. The songs are about subjects anyone can relate to: love, life, tears and laughter. While you listen you will feel the charisma, the power and the freedom of your soul as you "Give In" to her perceptive imagination.
