Warren is my partner for all he does, but I can not speak for him here on my site, other than to say that we met up after 30 years since high school. He has the equipment and know how and I have the songs. We entered this years song contest with a song that I wrote to honour my little boy's three wishes. He wished that people would stop fighting, that they would be talking and listening. He was 7 at the time.
My influences are the many songs over many years that touched my heart, that made me want to sing my own heart out." Every kind of music from classical to country to everything in between. If it touched my heart strings, I liked it. I wanted to emulate it. "I have tried, in my way, to be free", I love Leonard Cohen.
My teenage years were spent listening to the great rock and folk that came out of the 60's and 70's; too many to mention.
And my mom listened to a lot of that classic country music while I was growing up. I loved it too.
I like to play the kind of music that opens my heart, then I write my words on it. The things I feel are important. Sure, I like to write a bit of fluff as well but its the purpose that drives me lately. The poetry of life mixed with heart opening music and there you have it. My solution to a musical revolution of humanityi and our world. An Ideal World.
