Mary Ann Taylor

Mary Ann Taylor

Mary Ann Taylor, lead guitarist and singer, has assimilated bits and pieces of the soul of the masters and channeled it into her own unique stlye. She mixes up a gumbo of blues, roots and rock, to turn out a musical potion guaranteed to put a spell on you.

Mary Ann Taylor plays guitar and sings. Not your typical female singer/songwriter of the month. She's a wanderin' woman with stories to tell and a guitar that sets them ablaze. She's lived the life and walked the walk. Just listen to her guitar talk.

Originally from San Diego, CA , she worked her way up from playing rhythm guitar, to command the stage and the audience with her blazing lead guitar work and soulful vocals.

After several years of playing the club scene in San Diego Mary Ann moved to Southern Oregon. She recorded her CD “Cut Me Loose” and is currently working on her second release. She keeps her chops up fronting her own band and playing local and regional venues. Mary Ann and band are currently booking a tour in support of her new CD to be released this Spring.

Mary Ann has played the gamut of musical genres but sticks to what she truly loves and gives her joy: the Blues. She gets a lot of compliments on her playing. Her favorite is “You sound like an old black guy.”
