Bio
Mary-Jean has performed with numerous collectives, from the Calgary Opera to alternative rock and roll, from jazz to blues. Mary-Jean began penning her own tunes when she joined a new music collective, Mutual Admiration Society, and became the lead singer of the 5-person lineup. Through the creative environment and process, Mary-Jean honed her songwriting skills and, after the demise of MAS, continued to master the art of songwriting. When she purchased a piano in 2001 she knew it would change her life, and from that moment on Mary-Jean began to arrange and record her songs, many recorded in her acoustically-perfect 1908 house by the river. Mary-Jean currently performs locally in Calgary, both as a singer and an actress, and has just completed her first CD of original songs
