I've performed with the great artist Jeff Cook of the group Alabama at Cory's in Birmingham. I was recently produced by Terry Skinner( Alabama Stars Hall of Famer, songwriter, Producer of the "Forrester Sisters"). I was also featured in the opening act at Verizon Amphitheater in Birmingham, AL in 1988 for Information Society and JJ Fadd. I traveled with Russ Rosser for 3 years as his featured singer. My sister Sally and I performed at many different venues in Nasville and other places such as outdoor festivals in the Southeast. Nashville's famous MC Jerry Mac has featured my music frequently on his internet show.
My influences range from Jason Upton, Lorretta Lynn, Alabama, The Judds, Don Henley, Anita Baker, Trisha Yearwood, Karen Wheaton, and Matt Redmond.
I have been singing and writing music since about 10 years old. I come from a Gospel singing family in Alabama. I tried to make it in Nashville with my sister Sally but it just wasn't in God's plan for our lives at that time to be stars. I hope to continue to sing and am very interested in finding singers to record my music. I believe very much in my music. I have a lot of fans of my music but I haven't had that "big break" just yet, but i believe it is on the way soon. I have worked very hard for years on my music career but I'm now focusing mostly on my songwriting.
I sing at my church on a regular basis and I'm also Youth Choir director and Childrens' Church Pastor. My family performed on the Inspirational Channel as a result of winning an Atlanta Regional contest in Southern Gospel category. We didn't win the Nationals but it was a great experience. I am the mother of 2 wonderful children and have the best husband a woman could ever ask for. My philosphy in life is put God first and he will give me the desires of my heart. So I try to live by that philosophy. God is my rock!!
