Marys Lane

Marys Lane is an American Irish rock band based in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.

We bring together traditional and modern sounds of Ireland and Scotland with a compelling and motivating quality. Material includes original music and cover tunes from The Pogues, The Waterboys, Saw Doctors, Great Big Sea, and many more.

The formation of "a band" was first hinted at in July of 2008, under the Harp Tent of the Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival. Although a promising idea, the idea departed our minds due to scattered geographic locations and personal disconnects. The mess thankfully corrected itself exactly one year later when Pat, Michael, and Mark found themselves under the very same tent discussing forming a band - again. This time the drunken notion did not pass them by and was the motive behind Marys Lane's existence. The name is an actual road and homage to a special place on Achill Island, where women by the name of Mary where seen aplenty - which included Patrick's great-granny (yes... Mary).

Marys Lane has played over 100 shows in it's 2 year history. We are a hard working band who is looking forward to new venues, cities, and crowds!!
