Bio
Mario D. was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Interested in music at a young age, Mario D. grew up listening to artists like Michael Jackson, Prince, and salsa sensation, Celia Cruz. At the age of 13, he started a DJ crew that played at local events and parties. This is when he was first introduced to rap. He did not realize his dream of becoming rapper until he met Joe Ward of the hip hop/southern rock group, Milky Soul. Mario D made such a good impression on Joe Ward that Joe asked him to join the group. With Mario D.’s heavy rap, rock and salsa influences the two artists mixed very well. Playing small clubs in L.A., Texas, and Utah proved to be successful and was just the fuel Mario D. needed to start writing his own music. He Joined forces with, long time friend, Nathan Ian of Eight 0 One music, and together are producing and releasing Mario D.’s Debut album “West Coast Cuban” in winter of 2012.
