Mas Franko

Mas Franko a New York native hailing from Crown heights, Brooklyn. Raised on hip hop artist such as Nas(his favorite). At age 19 Mas Franko was inspired to rap, by an artist he managed at the time. The artist said to him “Spit a couple bars”. After he rapped, the artist thought and told Mas Franko he was dope, which gave him the encouragement to continue to rap. One of the main reasons Mas Franko cites why he loves to rap is because all of his friends connected with his music, so he thought if they could relate, there could also be a larger audience of people around the world who would feel just like him when he creates his songs. With his music you’re going to have a lot of mixed emotions because every song is designed to take you somewhere else and resurrect the feelings you had in that moment. He best describes himself as an human activist who wants to use his music as a podium, to help better humanity.

Born in crown Heights to a Jamaican mother Trinidadian father, 1 of 5 kids.He was giving the name asher which means blessed, Mas Franko attended all zoned schools around the crown heights neighborhood. Mas Franko played soccer earlier in his life for different teams around the city and for his high school. Mas Franko Wrote his first rap for his mother when He was 11 bleeping out a lot of words like "nigga" because it was said so much. Mas Franko's Early music influences are Bob Marley, the notorious big, nas, outkast, slick rick, & shyne. He goes by the name of Mas Franko. He sounds like everything we miss about Hip Hop, with his distinct signature on every song. While others are tap dancing on tracks, Mas Franko effortlessly breaks you off with that real rap. Each of his verses hits hard, like a ton of bricks; it’s no wonder he is cementing himself among the greats of Hip Hop. His constant grind and dedication, coupled with a “Brooklyn keeps on taking it” attitude, propels Mas to the forefront of the race to become the greatest MC. Mas Franko is filling the void with a classic sound for the new era; bringing back the art of lyricism over hardcore beats and melodic keys.
