Bio

The great-grandsons of martyr Jose Marti; a heroed Cuban Revolutionary and poet, the brothers/best-friends grew up entrenched with music and verse.

Their grandfather was a much-published poet in Puerto Rico in his time, and later, their father Danny ruled the New York City club scene with his distinct vocals and guitar playing; often drawing comparison to that of Carlos Santana.

Mashin' Menace (Daniel Jr.) began writing poems in his late teen years, as he struggled with becoming acclamated as an outcast during his youth. He found the lyrical expression of verse to be a greater release than the physical havoc he had come accustomed to raising.

As JBoogie (Justin) grew, he too found himself faced with some adversity, however he found his nitch playing classical piano for eight years. Boogie then branched out into the world of electronic instruments and 4-track production.

It was within a matter of weeks that Menace found his flows laid perfectly over "Boogie Beats" and as a result, not only allowed the two to escape the oft-conflicted world around them, but also take musical creativity to a new level.

Menace and JBoogie went on to record melodies for 5 years, until Menace suddenly passed away. Now JBoogie, takes years of songs that sat gathering dust, and has re-entered the lab, re-mastering and producing...carrying the torch on a journey that both would say, has just begun.
