Bio
Mason's Case is an original rock band based out of Chicago, IL and Lansing, MI. Their eclectic sound has won over audiences throughout the Midwest and their newest studio album, The Gloom, has been called, a song album with a strident, hard-rocking edge, hot-wire power chords interlaced with a surprising attention to the craft of arranging and, one of the local scenes standout releases Chris Rietz, The Lansing State Journal.
After forming on the campus of Michigan State University at the onset of the millenium, Mason's Case has evolved into one of Lansing's premier alternative rock groups. Blending elements as disparate as hard rock, acoustic folk, punk, and blues, Mason's Case has broken out of the typical college-rock mold and transformed themselves into a band ready for the national and international stage.
The band has been compared to Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, The Misfits, Pearl Jam and more, but their tendency towards mixing darker riffs, complex song structures, expert arranging and a splash of pop has set them apart from other bands.
After selling out The Elbo Room in Chicago on February 20th, 2010, the band is looking forward to upcoming shows in Chicago as well as dates in Michigan, Ohio, and elsewhere.
