"Mass D plays talent show"

As the only band competing in the 2004 Deltona High's Talent Show, Mass D showed a professionalism often lacking in young musical groups. Mass D's original song appealed to the teenage audience as they began dancing in their seats and shouting for more. Mass D's sound was creative and they demonstrated the unique ability to combine individual member sounds into perfect harmony; a talent often not seen in such a young band. Mass D brought down the house at Deltona and was a tremendous success.

Bio

Mass D originally formed in 2001. After a couple of band member changes, they've now solidified into an incredible rock group. Their overall sound is heavy, but their music typically ranges from low level, melodic song introductions to really nice, heavy chorus lines. The Mass D sound has been compared to early Staind, the vocals something like Chevelle. Darrell's vocals come through clean and powerful. Although Darrell technically plays rhythm guitar, his guitar work often intertwines nicely with Richard's lead guitar parts. Richard, playing lead guitar, has a sound that is beyond his years. His fretwork goes way beyond the power chords that most bands over use. And his expertise with effects and the wah-wah pedal is superb. CJ, on bass guitar, provides an excellent foundation for the music. His quick fingering on the bass guitar walks right along with the vocals and lead guitar. Jason plays drums like no other. You can't really compare his drumming style to anyone else. You just have to experience it first hand to really appreciate it.
