Masta Su!

Masta Su is one of the last and true underground emcee's. As a Philadelphia native, Masta Su studied other great emcees/peformers that preceded him, such as: Tuff Crew, Cool C, EST, Schooly D, Rich Medina and The Fresh Prince. Though labled a conscious rapper, his Stage presence and performance parallels that of a Dougie Fresh.
Masta Su has been rapping since the age of 13. As a part of the Suloo Tribe, his first official performance was at a summer festival in Philadelphia in front of a capacity crowd at Penns Landing in 1988; at the age of 14 he displayed nerves of steel as he effortlessly controlled a crowd of two thousand to the tempo of the beat! In the late ninety's He performed as a regular at Rich Medina's Footworks; alongside other notables such as Cheif Kamonch, Malik B, And Rawkus' own Hezekiah. Since then he has performed under many other groups and aliases up until today. He has performed at various clubs throughout the Philadelphia area. Those venues are as follows: Illusions, Brave New World, Rhythms, Chrome, The Pearl of Africa, Foot Works,(Bobbito's II), The Five Spot, Comcast Cable TV Show(in Deleware), and many others.
His most recent recordings are a true testament of his lyrical skill and prowess. He's indeed a "Scientist" in the fullest sense of the word; as he displays by "dropping much science" on the song Preflipatation. He also attacks social isues on the part of black people in America on the Smash Hit Single "Nuf'in!!" But the "Science" isn't his only field of field of expertise. He's also well versed in the "hard knock" ways of the streets of South West Philadelphia, as he displayed on the bonus track "Night Night"; which accompanies the notable artist/emcee; The Legendary Kool Keith!!!
