What began as an innocent collaboration between two aspiring singer-songwriters has quickly grown into a bigger project than either expected.
New York City-transplant, Bryan Master, was introduced to Michael McCarthy, a Vermont-ex-patriot now living in Los Angeles. Soon thereafter, they began working on each others' songs.
Music industry vet, and now group manager, Dan Nash heard the gents and was instantly wow'd by their emphasis on lyrical importance, REM/ Simon & Garfunkel-esque harmonies, and edgy acoustic slant. So Dan contacted his old friend, renowned engineer/producer, Niko Bolas (Neil Young, Keith Richards, Rachal Yamagata, Fiona Apple), who heard exactly what Dan had a week before. And seven days later, Niko began producing a satchel of original songs.
These songs were recorded in LA with the exceptional musical talents of Charley Drayton (drums), Bob Glaub (bass), Jeff Babko (keys) and the legendary Waddy Wachtel (electric guitar). Together, enough material for two full-length CDs has been recorded... so stay tuned as the particulars are worked out! In the meantime, watch for, and become part of, the increasingly active live presence of this very special, refreshing, musical force.
