Mata León is due to release their debut EP in March, which was recorded on spec with producer Dave Schiffman (Mars Volta, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Biffy Clyro, etc). They are currently recording the last couple tracks, which will be included in addition to the music you can hear on this page.
The band is brand new but has already been performing a slew of dates along the west coast including hometown appearances at Bottom of the Hill and Cafe Du Nord; LA shows at Viper Room, Cinespace, and Silverlake Lounge; and an opening slot at The Casbah in San Diego for Nervous Wreckords (ex-Louis XIV).
