Alternative Christian Pop Soul best describes the sound of MATANI, formed in 2007 to usher in a new wave of fresh Christian music. Original members are founder and lead singer/song writer Marcus Wilson, Drummer Mike McCoy, Bass Kevin Ambrogi, Keyboards Devin Ervin.

MATANI’s main focus is to bring the listener face to face with the True and Living God, while creating music that can be considered mainstream in its delivery and appeal to the masses. There is richness to their sound, and a genuine heartfelt pulse that is present in all their performances. Public perception is that MATANI is a secular band with a Christian agenda.

MATANI’s lyrical content is second to none. Singer/song writer Marcus Wilson pens songs that are fully immersed in the beautiful message of Christ, but have an artistic flare that enables a two thousand year old message to be culturally relevant to Christians and appealing to non-believers as well. It is this writing style and musical expression that separates MATANI from the rest of the pack.

MATANI’s upcoming album entitled “Red” focuses on the supernatural ability of God to forgive and blot out our troubled past with the blood of Jesus. The two main singles “Miracles” and “Honestly” as well as the afore mentioned album will be released summer of 2009.
