Matt Dylan and The HonkyTonk Outlaws

If you ask Matt Dylan who he is he would most likely smile and say ”I’m a simple guy, but that’s a complex question.” To say Matt wears many hats is an understatement.

 From Dylan’s humble beginnings on a 60-acre farm in Walnut Cove, NC, he has carved his own road. Whether it be writing songs to loading equipment and everything in between, Matt walks the walk. Dylan isn’t one to shy away from hard work. His “never say die” attitude resulted in his first single (2009) “Carolina Moonshine” being featured in a movie, on the Travel Channel, along with a cameo appearance by NASCAR Hall of Fame driver, Junior Johnson in the music video.

 An accomplished songwriter, one of Dylan’s recent songs “I’ve Been Redeemed” was cut by the Grammy nominated group The Grascals. The song went on to hit #1 twice on the Bluegrass/Gospel charts.

 Matt has opened for Rascal Flatts, Luke Combs, Montgomery Gentry, Aaron Tippen, Confederate Railroad, The Moonshine Bandits, Shooter Jennings, Pat Green, Sister Hazel and several others but, Dylan isn’t one to rest on past accomplishments. Playing hundreds of shows over the last few years Dylan was hungry for more. Teaming with Producer Dan Frizsell of Legends Studio, Matt set out to record his 3rd studio project. The first single “Strong” ships to radio May 7th, 2019, with an EP release date scheduled for August 2019.

 While Matt will tell you he’s a husband and father first, he will also tell you he is blessed with a tremendous amount of support from his family and friends. When not on the road, Dylan hosts a local radio show and stays busy writing new music. Matt’s drive and passion are evident in his high energy shows and in the stories he tells. From the farm to the stage Matt has one gear, overdrive.
