I think writing a song is one of the hardest things to do. Its hard to get your point across, really say something, and combine that with a melody that fits the mood and gets stuck in your head. I have been writing songs since I was 14 years old and my goal has always been to put a piece of myself and my life in each song while focusing heavily on hooks and melody.
Every song I have ever heard has influenced me in someway. That familiar sound you hear in every one of my songs is a little piece of every artist I have ever loved and listened to.
I have not been lucky in the way of music. I have never been in a band and have never been handed an opportunity. I have financed every song I have recorded and earned every show I've ever played. What sets me apart from other bands is with this poor of fortune and this bleak of a future in the industry, I haven't given up. I know what it is like to have wasted talent, to play at a bar where nobody wants to hear you how good you are. And I'll keep on moving forward as long as I live, and if nothing ever happens proffessionally, spiritually I'll always have my music close to my heart.
