Matt Dragstrem

Matt Dragstrem

Refreshing melodies paired with simplistic, yet compelling lyrics sung by a soulfully organic voice makes singer/songwriter Matt Dragstrem an audience favorite.

Born and raised in snowy Chicago, Matt Dragstrem packed his things in an old, teal truck and moved south for warmer days in Nashville TN. With Influences from a vast array of artists such as Tom Petty & the Heartbrakers, Ryan Adams, and Rage Against the Machine, Matt spent many days in his bedroom honing his songwriting craft, and nights in local bars and clubs drawing inspiration from the local talent. In the summer of 2007, Matt embarked on his first tour, playing shows in Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan, and began recording his debut EP. Set for release in fall 2008, Heritage features catchy hooks, organic production, and warm memorable melodies, and is sure to leave a lasting impression on all who lend their ears.

'I Just Wanna Love You Right' on Lightning 100 (100.1 Nashville, TN) off of debut Heritage EP.
