Today we’d like to introduce you to Matthew Wayne.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I got my start learning guitar and piano from my family at the age of five. Then went on to start playing drums at 10. My mom is into pop and rnb and my dad is into classic rock but they both moved to the country. So I grew up on a lot of great music. As a young kid, I was really into Boyz II Men and *NSYNC and have gone into work with both Boyz II Men and members of NSYNC as well as Ryan Cabrera, The Avett Brothers, O-town, Dawes, Conor Oberst and others.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been smooth. Coming up as a side guy, you play in bands that break up or change directions. Of course, COVID did a number on us all. But I’m thankful for that time to reposition and do some cool things that I might not have done otherwise like being part of online show with Joey Fatone and doing a song with Wanyá Morris of Boyz II Men and Brian McKnight.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a country music artist, songwriter and producer. I’m known for working with Boyz II Men and members of NSYNC. What sets me apart is I play five different instruments proficiently and have a massive amount of musical influence from country to jazz to Latin to just about any other style of music.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?

Emerging singer-songwriter Matthew Wayne has released his new song titled "Reckless." Since May 2022, Matthew has released six singles and gained over half a million streams across streaming platforms. "Reckless" aims to further his momentum.

Wayne knew he wanted a career in music ever since he saw the movie, That Thing You Do. The film inspired his passion for learning several instruments including the drums and piano. As he has embarked on making his dreams a reality, Wayne has already seen success. He has worked with the likes of Joey Fatone from *NSYNC as well as the group Boyz II Men. Wayne will soon be featured at Whiskey Jam in Nashville and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

"Reckless" has the ability to pull listeners in from the first note. There is a steady tempo with a melody to match making it an easy tune to listen to. A commercial aspect lies within the song as well, which aligns perfectly with radio and streaming.

This track is about a failed attempt at getting over a breakup. Instead of going out and having a good time, there is a sense of longing for wanting that person back. The excitement and passion when mixed with alcohol can make for plenty of risky decisions. Wayne sings about all of those feelings exclaiming, "But the blue in your eyes / I might get a little reckless tonight / Start throwing them whiskey shots back and try my luck." Ahead of his debut project releasing soon, Matthew Wayne follows up his previous release "Reckless" with a new single titled "Wrong Side Of The Bed."

The new single was written by De'Leah Shane, Lance Miller, Nate Kenyon, and Sara Brice.

"This song was special from top to bottom. From the first time I heard it, I couldn't get my mind off of it. It was so hard to get the opportunity to cut this song and when I did I put everything I could into it. The vibe in the studio the day we cut it had that magical feeling and when I went to do vocals for it, I took care with every word," tells Wayne.

Since May 2022, Matthew has released 6 singles and has received over half a million streams on streaming platforms. He has also been featured on Spotify playlists, including "Fresh Finds Country" and "New Music Friday Country." - Broadway World
