His abilities as a singer, songwriter, and a strong frontman have offered him the opportunities to share the stage with a number of nationally recorded platinum and gold selling artists and bands, playing for crowds in the upper thousands.

Lyrics

Where Does the Love Go

Written By: Matthew Eldridge

Your favorite chair is empty
Nothin’ here belongs
I’m listenin’ to the radio
Tryin’ to find you in our…
in our favorite songs
But you’re gone and I’m alone
I should’ve treated you right
Twenty years of marriage
I should’ve put up a fight to keep you
by my side…
But you’re gone

Chorus
Where does the love go?
Where are the promises we made?
I can’t make you love me, but, I know…..
I know I can change
And I’ll try
To do my best to find a way
To earn your heart again someday
And I pray
We’ll fall in love again

I wonder if you’re missin’ me
I wonder if you’re movin’ on
I wonder how the kids are
I wonder if you’re comin’ home again
The bed is made, the sheets are cold
I need a girl to hold
And no one else can fit these arms of mine
No one else can take your place
In my life

Chorus
Where does the love go
Where are the promises we made
I can’t make you love me, but, I know…..
I know I can change
And I’ll try
To do my best to find a way
To earn your heart again someday
And I pray
We’ll fall in love again

Where does the love go
Where are the promises we made
I can’t make you love me, but, I know…..
I know I can change

Standing On My Knees

Written By: Matthew Eldridge

Rain drops are falling
Down on my face
My tears drops are doing the same
I wish you were healthy
I wish it was me
I wish there was someone to blame

chorus
Hold my hand
Let me take you far from here
Don't you cry
I'm still standing on my knees

Down in the chapel
Saying a prayer
The doctors and nurses walk by
Wonderin' if you will remember
This day
Wonderin' if you will survive

chorus
Hold my hand
Let me take you far from here
Don't you cry
I'm still standing on my knees
I'm still standing on my knees

And I wish we could go back in time
To a place where we were young
I would cherish every single Moment we had
Moment I shared with you

Chorus
Hold my hand
Let me take you far from here
Don't you cry
I'm still standing on my knees
I'm still standing on my knees

Holy

Written By: Matthew Eldridge

Woke up this mornin'
Got no reason to live
With a hunger in my soul
I need your touch again

Many days, many nights when I try
To see your face
You're just an illusion in my head
Might as well turn it off,
Turn me off
'Cuz what I need is something real

I need you

Chorus
You are holy, you hold me
When I've lost my way
You bring me back to you
You are holy, and you hold me

I count my blessings one by one
When I stumble -
Yea, I'm the prodigal son
But you're there
To take me back again
Remove my pride
And wash away my sin
You are so holy

Chorus
You are holy, you hold me
When I've lost my way
You bring me back to you
You are holy, and you hold me

She's So Down

Written By: Matthew Eldridge

Every boy needs a girl to love
And every woman needs
A little bit of tenderness
And I know that there is more to this,
I know that we can break through this

Chorus
She's the woman of my dreams
She's the reason that I sing this song
I can't be wrong to say she brings me joy
But why is she so down...

It must've been somethin' I said
Could've been somethin' I did
I'm sorry - I would change
The world for you, the world for you
Shut up, it's not you
She cried,
And out of the corner of her eye
I can see
That there is more to this
Yea, I know, that we can break through this

Chorus
She's the woman of my dreams
She's the reason that I sing this song
I can't be wrong to say she brings me joy
But why is she so down...
Why is she so down...

And when she needs to cry
I'm right there by her side

Chorus
She's the woman of my dreams
She's the reason that I sing this song
I can't be wrong to say she brings me joy...

Never Be The Same

Written By: Matthew Eldridge

She cried as she gave it all to him
And as the tears ran down her face
She felt different, she was different
And she'll never, no she'll never be the same - no no no no
She'll never, never be the same

All those nights, all the shame
All the pain has gone away
And those sins, she thought...
How those nails pierced through
His hands and feet for her
Now she's free

And she'll never, never be the same
She'll never be the same

And though her world she spins
As she's thrown to her knees
And she calls out
Somebody rescue me
And he reaches deep within
And he pulls out all her sin
And she's different now...
She's different now...

And she'll never, never be the same
No she'll never, never be the same
And she'll never, never be the same
She'll never, never be the same...
