Bio
Born in west Georgia in 1977, I begin playing music around the age of 12 years. The writing of my own compositions came much later! I have always had a passion for music as long as I can remember. Over the last decade or so,I found my way into several bands but never found the right chemistry between musicians. So, I have decided to record on my own and to allow my own vision as an artist to grow!
There are many musicians that have changed my life; here are a few: Beatles, the Sea and Cake, Bowie, Floyd, Coltrane, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Dead Kennedy's, Sinatra, Hank Williams Sr., Alison Krauss; and most everything under the sun actually! While I know that my influences will be heard; hopefully they are not so easily identifiable. I personally think that my music displays a differentiation from what I grew up listening to and definitely what is out now, but you will have to be the judge of that! I have been compared to artists such as Tim Buckley, Jose Gonzalez, John Lennon, and Roy Harper! I do believe that the artists of today spend too much time trying to emulate other bands and not enough time searching for their own sound. There are original bands and those are the ones that seem to have longevity! Maybe some will think that I my music is far from original...but again, that is up for you to decide!
I am merely me! There will be those that like it and those that hate it. I look forward to hearing from you all!
