Matthew Hartnett is a houston natvie by way of Lake Charles, Louisiana. A classical convert to the art of jazz, he has been fortunite to grace to the stage and recording booth with many major and local artist. In houston he has played for hip hop, neo soul, even rock groups. His own band funk band, the XFACTOR, experienced some succes during their run in 2008- 2009. Matthew wanted to explore his own voice in his solo career. Since then he has released a single, Reachin'. The song has done very well locally as well as in california. It can be heard on ktsu radio 90.9. This single is a part of his album still in progress called the mattDANhart experience.
