Matt Higgins

Matt has been a worship leader, songwriter and musician for several years in various ministries and bands. Combining these experiences and abilities with sound Biblical insight and personal testimony is his gift. Sharing them with the local church is his vision.

"I think that God has taught me and my wife some very difficult lessons -- lessons in obedience, lessons in trust, lessons in grace and we have learned so much through these refining times. My prayer has continually been 'Lord, I want to know You' and 'Lord sanctify me'. He is always faithful to do this -- but God's ways are definitely not our ways. His way is narrow. It's difficult and it causes us pain. We have to give up the things that tie us to this world to grow and to obey. The reward however surpasses every loss."

Matt's desire is to assist the church in the goal of spiritual growth of its members; to be a resource to the church who wants to be spiritually stimulated, encouraged and challenged in their faith; to come alongside churches in a coordinated event such as a retreat -- and reinforce the messages of that event through music and testimony; and to be a relief to church worship leaders so they can spiritually recharge and worship God without the responsibility of leading. This vision is accomplished by:

- Engaging your group with music that
addresses relevant spiritual themes.
- Combining scripture and testimony with music
to teach, exhort and encourage.
- Leading your group to focus on God,
so they can meet with Him in worship.

"My heart is to minister to churches -- to encourage the body of believers in Christ. I want to be a blessing to the local church and be able to accommodate any group regardless of budget or size or lack thereof. I want to serve God by serving the church, not as an "artist" or "entertainer" but as a fellow heir, a fellow servant and a bond slave of Christ. "
