Hailing from the beautiful British Columbia, currently living in Regina Sask., Matthew Joel plays a pleasant blend of pop and folk from an extremely honest and no-tricks perspective. Ever since his first release "The Matthew Joel EP" he has put forward a Bob Dylan, Album leaf, and Patrick Watson inspired collection of music unabashedly conglomerating these artists vibes in to something all his own. At the end of 2009 Matthew released his first full length record, pushing his personal envelope and truly constructing a record to be proud of. A relatively new artist, completely taking over the college campus of Briercrest, the place of the projects birth, Matthew sits on the fringe of the Canadian music scene--the break is coming, it's on it's way.
