Bio

Matthew Puckett has proved that he is more that just the local club scene. His career expands well into the realm of television and film. He spent summer 2005 writing and recording songs and music for the new ABC series "Hooking Up' and FX channel's "Starved". This Brooklynite offers poignant songs with bittersweet hooks and brilliant lead vocals. Matthew's new album "Five Dreams of Being" is set for release in January 2006.

His latest CD ‘Five Dreams of Being’ contains music written for the film “Particles of Truth” and is an earthy mix of melting tunes and dark musings. (“Sad Little Car” and Come Here Honey” were both previously released on an EP entitled ‘Sad Little Car” that is available through the website for digital download.)
"Particles of Truth" received critical acclaim and was featured on Sundance Channel's ‘New Voices’ after a successful run at Cinema's Village East in NYC. Much of the new CD was composed during sleepless nights due to a mild insomnia that Matthew has been battling for a couple of years.

‘Five Dreams of Being’ is a departure projects from Matthew’s past projects. After the breakup of his eponymous named band ‘Puckett’ Matthew did some soul-searching and late night thinking. The result was a decision to take a more honest approach. Working with fellow Brooklyn musician Seth Ginsberg, Matthew put a small band together. “Five Dreams’ consists of mostly acoustic guitars, Vibraphone, mandolin and upright bass making for a “compelling listen” as music connection magazine said:
