With songs that stick in your head and won't let go, Mattie writes real music that every listener can relate to on some level. These catchy upbeat tunes prove he's not just another John Mayer wannabe!

Mattie began his musical journey at a very young age, but who needs that much detail? He picked up the guitar as a junior in high school when he started taking guitar class. As a senior his instructor, Greg Czysczon, gave all the students an assignment... to write a song. That's where it all began. From that point Mattie took an intense interest in singing, playing guitar and writing songs.

After college, Mattie joined the Air Force, which took him to Las Vegas, NV. He quickly sought out the local music scene becoming a regular at many bars and casinos whenever there was an open mic night. This lead to new contacts and the opportunity for showcase gigs. After 2 years, he joined the Air Force ensemble Tops in Blue, and toured the US and the world (that's right, the world) as a singer and dancer (even playing guitar on one of his songs!) He was introduced to Matt Dechant here, who appears on the Mattie EP.

After returning, Mattie was moved to Warner Robins, GA where he currently resides. In addition to playing solo, Mattie is also working on a group project. Forming in late 2005 in Warner-Robins, Georgia, Mattie's band members bring together a multitude of styles and influences, but the members all share at least one thing... an appreciation for all types of music. This is evident from the wildly diverse covers the group is working on, from Rock to pop to country to R&B.

Mattie's love of music shows through in all that he does. Book him for a show and let him share it with you!
