With a style all his own , Matt's music is Passionate , moving and profound. Intelligently written , emotional and melodic , with topics ranging from love and relationships gone wrong to addiction , religion , the loss of loved ones and coping with life's disturbances.
Born and raised in Philadelphia Pa. Matt has always had music in his blood. Matt’s father is a well respected Jazz Tenor Saxophonist , his mother dreamed of becoming a singer.
Matt started as a guitarist , playing in hard rock bands and influenced by guitar great’s. However his style was about to change as he began writing softer , more melodic and moody songs.
“ I remember watching Elvis when I was very young and I was captivated by his performance, but it wasn’t until years later when I saw a movie of his and thought that's it ! Here’s one guy with an acoustic guitar and he blows away any band I’ve ever seen. “ (MM)
Matt was now listing to songwriters like Roy Orbison , Billy Joel and Chris Isaac . He developed his voice and his own style from his emotion . “ All my songs are personal. I write from the heart , I sing from my soul , I play from my mind. If i’m not connected to the song I won’t play it . (MM)
Now living in Santa Monica CA. Matt spends most of his time writing and recording. A truly gifted Singer/Songwriter he’s gearing up for upcoming live performances , future albums and working towards becoming an acclaimed recording artist.
Matt’s first release was completely self produced. “ I wrote , arranged and recorded all the songs at home.” Performing not only all the Vocals and Guitars , but all other instruments as well. “ I look forward to collaborating with a producer and recording my songs with some great musicians . “ With the right production I can give my music a whole new life...
