Matt Morson

Matt Morson is a country boy with a rock and roll edge.  Born on October 12, 1992 Matt Morson, picked up his first guitar at age 11 to master Led Zeppelin’s “Communication Breakdown”.

Coming from a small town in rural Ontario, Matt inherited his passion for country music from his parents and used his love for music as a way to express his inner art. As the years went on, Morson started to work with various music festivals, assisting in production and general event logistics.  Over time, Matt grew a desire to perform and eventually landed himself a chance to perform on stage. Morson’s charastimatic presence and ability to connect with audience is what’s led him to several notable performances since the start of his career.  Highlights include opening for Doc Walker at Nashville North as well as Jojo Mason, River Town Saints and Aaron Pritchett at several festivals through out Ontario.  Morson also appeared on the red carpet at the CMAO awards in early Summer 2017.  His 2017 releases  “Wanted Man” and “Girl on the Bar” have also received airplay in Canada, the U.S., Italy and Lebanon. In 2017, Matt dropped his first video for “Girl on the Bar”, which generated over 10,000 views in just under a week. Matt’s second video “Wanted Man” has garnered over 40,000 views on YouTube in under four weeks.  Morson has also garnered almost 3 million media impressions with his last release and been featured in over 15 news outlets across Canada including live performances on Ontario’s top breakfast shows. Matt Morson dreams of building his way to the top with a new album release and in time, becoming a recognizable face in country music worldwide. Not one to expect opportunities to come lightly, Morson spends the bulk of his free time in studio, recording and rehearsing with his band. His remaining time is spent with his dog Millie, a regular on his instagram.
