Bio
Matt Perri lazily moved to Montreal from Edmonton in the autumn of 2008 with a knockoff Epiphone SG guitar and a Fender amp which he soon sold for a month and a half's rent. At the age of twenty-one he had two albums under his belt. As of summer 2010, he's a year and a half older, with three more albums to his name, each showcasing his consistently improving songwriting abilities.
After many solo recordings (Edmonton's Tiny Hot Things and Let's, and Montreal's The Moon, and Girls), he gathered friends from other Montreal bands (Silly Kissers, Dirty Wedding), to create Matt Perri & The Living Sluts. Together they produced In The Alley, an ode to shotgunning beers in the alleys behind venues, zombies, and doing whatever you want all the time.
Without any efforts of self promotion, Perri has managed to make a name for himself for putting on good rock shows that will not bore. Mosh pits seem not to be a rare occurrence. And the few who have managed to grab on to a rare copy of one of his albums make sure to attend every show they can.
He will be famous one day.
