Bio
With his first album release “Never Ending Aftermath” hitting college radio 2008, Matt Powers made his presence known on the Indie Rock scene immediately. Recorded with Oliver Strauss of Mission Sound (Taking Back Sunday, All-American Rejects) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and recorded 11 tunes in 10 days (including mixing!).
After 2 years, Matt is solo again. PEOPLE, former LA space punk band, dissolved Fall 2009. Matt had his first tour Summer 2009 with much success at Dfest. Matt's hard at work on new music to give away free.
Matt's played with Shawn Pelton (SNL, Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, Levon Helms), Billy Gibbons of ZZTop, James Rotondi (Air, Mr. Bungle, The Bad Eliots), Daniel Carter (Test, Sun-Ra), Matt Katz-Bohen (Daddy, Blondie), Nikki G (Beyonce), and More.
