Exciting....Fresh....Versatile...Talented... these are just a few words which can be used to describe this entertaining and energetic live performer.
Matt Price is formally trained in voice, guitar and drums and he is self-taught on piano/keyboard, and he is eagerly being booked at numerous venues throughout the Sydney region...and beyond! Matt is currently tyring to limit his live performance schedule to around 50 hours of live stage performance time per month in order to allow sufficient time for his full-time music study.
He won several music-related awards whilst at secondary school in Sydney and subsequently won the 2009 Popular Music & Performance Scholarship and then again the 2010 Popular Music & Performance Scholarship at JMC Academy, Sydney where he is studying his three year degree course.
Matt was also successful at a 2008 audition to be selected to perform with the legendary guitarist Peter Northcote and MusicOz finalist Gemma Wood at both The Vanguard (supporting Axle Whitehead) and The Brass Monkey (supporting Damien Leith); two premier live music venues in Sydney.
Matt's original song "Something More" has been performed by him live on Australian ABC National Radio, and he plans to release his inaugural EP later this year.
