Biography

Born and raised in a small town outside of Columbus Ohio, Matt first hit the stage at only 15 years old and hasn’t looked back. Raised in a financially challenged household Matt is spending his final years in High School being “Home Schooled”.

Through social media he befriended some of the biggest names in the business who immediately spotted his talent and encouraged him to continue growing as an artist. Opening for and befriending such comedians as DL Hughley, Ralphie May, Finess Mitchel, Tommy Davidson, Dane Cook, Erik Griffin, Tony Rock, and DeRay Davis just to name a few. Matt has gained the respect of veterans of stand up and audiences a like.

Word spread quickly about the white “kid” who can rock an urban as well as a mainstream room. In his first trip to Los Angeles Matt didn’t disappoint. Appearing at all three major clubs in Hollywood, the Laugh Factory, the Comedy Store and the Improv, the town was a buzz about “the kid” and his ability to crush an urban as well as mainstream audience. Focusing on developing a TV show and expanding his set, Matt is now 17 and lives in Los Angeles and is now a regular at many of the comedy clubs in the city, including becoming the youngest male ever to be a regular performer at the World Famous Laugh Factory in Hollywood. Placing as second runner up in the “2013 Bay Area Black Comedy Competition” Matt has become the youngest
non-African American ever to be in the finals in the 27 year history of the competition and the only person to be younger, overall, was only 2 months younger than him and that was Nick Cannon.

Matt has truly found his calling and his natural ability to draw an audience into his world.
