Matt Scarfone is a musician and singer/song writer with the sounds of yesterday that are hitting tomorrow. Starting at a young age matt was constantly on stage making a respectable name for him self through the Niagara region. When Matt first started high school he was introduced to very talented musician who were looking for a permanent drummer to start a serious project. The band had now formed and saw that they had something to work with so now found them self as Niagara Region’s battle of the bands 1st place winners, and found him self as a winner for the next three years in a row. Now that there was a name there, finding local paying jobs in the city at local bars and clubs came easy, and fast. Matt was now playing three nights a week making money.

Now that Matt had steady paying jobs him and his group “Am Glory” now had time start writing and working toward the original route. Am glory had entered a world wide musical festival competition called “Emegerenza” which was consecutive stages of performing. After three rounds of 1st place at venues such as the kathedral, the reverb, and the 360 club which are all located in Toronto, they no where in the finals for Ontario out of 250 bands at a sold out Opera House in Toronto. The band had fell short of first place but had be named 8th place out of 250 bands in Ontario, which to them was a respectable accomplishment. Now that Am Glory had confidence in there originality they were looking for the next level at bigger venues and also big headliners. Niagara Falls review quotes “riding wave of popularity” Niagara pulse magazine quotes “In their Glory”. With a buzz now and with a large following Am glory had been hired to the opening act for hit song writer Alayna Myles. With much work in promoting, they found a great opportunity which was to open for Hanson at a sold out Koolhause in Toronto. This gave Am glory a taste of what was out there to achieve.

Am glory had a falling out so Matt now had the opportunity to become the drummer the “Leah Hawkins band” who is the daughter of rock a Billy legend Ronnie Hawkins. During this though matt was at a crucial time in high school and realized that he could put fourth to this commitment and also finish school so he to do what was best for him self and quit the project.

Now matt is writing and recording his own music. He is working with two time hit song writer, and Juno nominee who was the lead singer of Canada’s number one band at one time “wave” with Paul matt has his own original pop sound and is working towards creating his own music that one day people will love to purchase. Matt has only had a little taste of what’s out there and will not stop working till he achieves what he has set out for. Matt understand what needs to be done and feels the talents there with the commitment, it’s only a matter of time.
