Matt Sneed

I'm Matt. I'm a musician. I like to sleep in, I like to get up early. On weekends I drive around the rich neighborhoods and look at houses and pretend I live there with a few kids and a wife. I forget to shave, when I realize I forgot to shave, I continue to forget on purpose. I write songs one verse at a time, and leave them lying around my house on napkins or paper, then I throw them out and write some more. I like red wine. I've been spending a large percentage of my money buying flannel shirts off ebay lately. I have a cat named Georgia and a yellow puppy named Memphis. I'm getting a rabbit and naming it Reno. My apartment smells like dog and I don't know what to do about it. On fridays I pick up a frozen pizza and a bone for Memphis, that's how we celebrate. I like to wear hats. I've watched The Notebook daily for about 4 years. I like steak. I miss surfing. I like bars where if you look like you've showered in the past week, they look at you weird and respect you a little less. I try to drink a lot of water during the day, but usually fail. I get really really lonely sometimes. I wish my porch was bigger and I had a yard too big for a fence. If you come to a show I'll probably buy you a drink. Damien Rice, Ryan Adams, Fionn Regan...they make me shake.

I have goals. Someday soon I'm going to have a little house on a lot of land outside a small town. I'm going to sit on my porch without a shirt and drink black coffee and watch Memphis run around. I might plant some small crop of something just to keep myself busy. I'll go to the local watering hole at 3 in the afternoon, stay till 5, and come home and make dinner and go back out on the porch and watch the sun go down. Then I'll read endless amounts of books in bed, until I fall asleep in my jeans.
