Matty Marz

Matty Marz is not only a creative hybrid of both man and creature but a talented musician who is classically trained in opera, composition and dance. From the tender age of six, Matty started to develop his performance skills by taking workshops at his local theatre. As his talents sharpened so did his passion for pop culture. Fascinated by artists like Madonna, David Bowie, Marilyn Manson etc. He realized that music was his true calling. By age twelve, he was writing song's and creating instrumental's on his home computer, playing with sounds and studying the art of songwriting. Unfortunately, his classmates didn't share the same creativity and outlook causing him to be socially isolated and bullied for most of his school career. This pushed him to not only master his skills as a musician and performer but to release his mind from any creative boundaries he faced. Learning anything he could about fashion, art and history that would help mold him into the artist he dreamed of becoming. Now, not only does Matty Marz push the genres of music, by seamlessly combining elements of Rock, House, Pop, and Electronic. But, also pushing the boundaries of what it means to be an artist by playing with idea's of gender, imagery and performance art. As he continues to grow musically and visually the possibilities are endless for this androgynous self proclaimed "Horror Princess" who will one day dominate the music industry and the world.
