At 18, I should have been preparing to graduate from high school and head off to college like most of my friends but instead I was facing 15 years in jail, I had lost my best friend and many lives were ruined (Including my own). On April 17th, 2007 my best friend Paul and I were out at a party during out senior year in high school, we were drinking and I had my car. At some point we left the party and the next thing I knew, I was in a hospital bed with a broken neck and fractured skull. Paul had passed away. We crashed and that crash stemmed from the stupid decision to drive drunk. Since being released from jail in 2009 I have seen small successes in music via social media which put me on my current path to spread awareness. I spent a year working on an amazing music video called "Take My Keys" that we released on March 10th, 2013. All I want to do is use my music to reach people who can't be reached in a simple speech or assembly about this topic. I want to use my broken past to educate kids and adults about the dangers of drinking and driving through the powers or music and social media. I'm well aware that my path isn't a decorated one nor is it one that will likely lead to fame and fortune but with every performance and every little form of promotion, we could save lives!
