Maurice John Vaughn Revue

 Chicago, Illinois, USA
BandR&BBlues

Chicago-based, danceable Funky R&B to serious soul searching Blues. Some original, some cover material. MJV is a 2007 Chicago Music Awards nominee. One of MJV's songs is part of Major League II soundtrack and DRJohnson has a well-earned Grammy at home!

Biography

The MJV Revue is a coming together of friends from their different bands to perform at festivals and tour Europe. We are influenced by the great R&B masters and Blues masters that have gone before us. Some we've met and worked with. Donald Ray Johnson was with the Taste of Honey Band when he earned a Grammy. 'Got to be Funky' is MJV's song and part of the Soundtrack for Major League II. Velvet McNair has a funky, upbeat CD on an Italian independent label and exactly the same for B.J. Emery: Upbeat , dance CD, same label. We travel overseas about three times a year and tour together and with our respective bands. Our members average about 30 years of performing time. We also perform as a 4 piece core band for smaller tours and events.
