Mavis Beakin is an eclectic mix of characters creating an eclectic pop fusion sound. Hailing from an art studio in Calgary's SE industrial park, Mavis Beakin pulls off an entirely new and original sound featuring silky vocal lines, and gritty down to earth canuck rap laid over top of an extremely tight in- the-pocket rhythm section. All of Mavis Beakins tracks are recorded live in the studio to ensure a genuine feel of time and groove that are not present with a click track .
