Max Daniels

Max grew up in a place called Commack on Long Island, New York. When Max was young (about 6 or 7... maybe 8), his eldest brother, Jason, discovered the beautiful music of Dave Matthews Band. He inspired the middle brother, Ari, to start listening and he, in turn, inspired Max. Not long after, Jason began playing guitar and, in order to be able to play along, Ari had made a makeshift drum- set out of an exercise trampoline and a small yellow plastic chair for a child's lego set, and utilized devil sticks as drum sticks. At that point Max had to make the tough decision of which instrument he wanted to play in school (and with Ari and Jason).   After much deliberation, he chose the saxophone :-) During the course of the next few years, Ari had improved dramatically at drums and had started to play guitar. Out of the deepest desire to do everything his brother did, Max, too, began to learn to play guitar. That was the year 2003 and the rest is history... Wanna know that history? Well, a lot of it is written in my songs. Here's the short version: I went to high school (as many of us do) and made some of the best friends of my life. I was very involved with the music department and took most classes they offered. My love for music never wained. In 11th grade, my mother had lost her long battle with cancer, and music was extremely crucial during that time. It offered me a place where I was safe, a place where only I could go. Music allowed me to go to my own world, if only for a few minutes. Since I started writing songs, I have always enjoyed describing emotions or different experiences of the world around us. During the year of 2007, up to and including the present, we are proudly striving to live a G-d-centered life in the form of religious Judaism. In January 2013, I got married to my lovely wife and the following        October our beautiful little girl, Adina, was born. There's really a lot to say- enough for a book... we all have one, but suffice it to say life is an incredible, interesting and strange place :-)
